Quadros are best for: Scientific and data calculations, high end CAD rendering, Professional-grade video productionįor the official bit of my post, I would say that there are certainly reasons why Quadros are used in industry, they are Autodesk certified, tried and tested, with suitable drivers to run with Inventor. GTX are best for: Gaming, all around computing, day trading (multi monitor support), budget CAD, amateur video (budget and amateur is anything that isn't day to day heavy industry use) Suggesting a Quadro card for you is like suggesting you buy a super car to only sit in a traffic jam. Personally I don't understand why there is so much focus on graphics cards, especially when an individual asks for a spec to use. The next consideration is the graphics card. MSI also come with a manual fan override, so if in doubt, hit that button and watch the temperature fall. ![]() Another plus is the chassis' are specifically designed to vent heat effectively for high end components under heavy use. Personally I use an MSI laptop, they are priced incredibly well and come with some very nice components. The chassis' simply aren't capable of purging the heat generated by the lovely components that sit inside them, this shortens their life span considerably due to huge thermal cycles. I must admit that I'm a bit biased here as I don't like thin laptops, especially if they are full with high end components. ![]()
